Giving Thanks, For “Family”

The writing was on the proverbial wall for you all, when we sold our house. No more home to come home to!

Throughout the more than twenty years of our expatriate life, we’ve been welcomed, (for many extended stays), into not only our family’s households, but also into the homes of friends. That is who I would like to thank today, giving thanks ahead of Thanksgiving for the blessing of many dear friends…our extended family. You know who you are.

Thanks for welcoming us in, for airport pick-ups and drops, for boat stays, for comfy beds. For use of hot tubs, for running up your electric bills, for home-cooked meals, for sanctuary. For making us feel so welcome, for making us feel like family.

Happy Thanksgiving!
